To many people Verona is known as the "City of Love" and there are several reminders of this around the city. Perhaps the place where this is most keenly felt is the Casa di Giulietta (Juliet's House). Now this is obviously not where Juliet really lived as she's a fictional character but it has become a place where people come to demonstrate their love in various ways. There's a statue of "Juliet" that people touch with the hope of being blessed with love, the (again fictitious) balcony where Juliet stood as Romeo professed his love, a mural of love graffiti which you can add to and also this wall of padlocks where couples can seal their love for eternity.
